"Blacknose is right, we probably should go as soon as possible." The only problem is that we don't know where MoonClan camp is. "Come on, it's time. I hope we can find it though."
Slushgaze tasted the air, there was a faint trace of EarthClan, and so close too. The tom stared into EarthClan territory, inspecting the forage and remembering the water that had swept through the earth.
Darkpaw huffed out a breath, yellowish-green eyes focused on Moonclan's territory. She dreaded crossing the border, especially because of the words she'd spoke to Blossomstar. The young she-cat was clearly more afraid of running into Dieselstar than Moonclan's leader, but she was unsure if she'd be welcomed in Moonclan. "Can't we wait a little bit longer for the other's?" Her apprehension was clear as day on her face. Just as she said those words, a large black and white tom-cat approached them from the underbrush. His coat was soaked through and the fur around his face drooped making him look older than he was.
"You two alright?" Blacknose shot Brassblaze a smile before turning to inspect the former eclipseclanner. He took note of the way she kept pressure off her right fore-paw. "Once we hit Moonclan, we better get that checked out. Let's rest here for a bit and see if we can help any other clan-mates."
Brassblaze stopped at the border between the two clans. "Darkpaw, are you ready?" His gaze focused only on dry land, the warrior stepped into unfamiliar territory.

The warrior flushed slightly, smiling a little at the tom's playfulness. "Really~? I mean, our Clans have an alliance right now, so it couldn't be that big of a deal." He shivered slightly at the whisper, blushing a little harder. Flamingshadow tried not to realize how handsome the tom was, but it was getting harder the longer they talked.
"Let's just get to the Great Willow and call it then. Past there, the river's wide enough I doubt anything will have even tried to cross," Grousethorn decided, gritting his teeth as he continued through the muck.
Valleystorm heard Grousethorn curse, and agreed with him on that count. The mud was becoming a real pain. While she did enjoy the rain, mud just got her fur all dirty, something she really disliked. "maybe we should go back. We have patrolled most of the border, and something tells me that the mud isn't going to get any better" she suggested, "besides, if we can hardly get through I don't think anything else would want to either." she said, trying to shake some mud off of her pelt. "But I'm also fine continuing, I don't mean to complain"
Fallenpaw swatted a white paw over the tom's ears playfully. "I won't tell if you don't." he whispered in his ear. "All the cats my age in my clan are my siblings. It's so boring," he complained with an eyeroll, in reference to the issue of no other cute apprentices to talk to. He loved his mother and father, but they were often too busy to entertain their own children. Unbeknownst to the two flirting toms, far off the snow was melting rapidly, preparing to send massive flood waters rushing towards the clans.
Grousethorn continued along the border in silence as the two she-cats wordlessly nodded their agreement. It wasn't long before he was up to the knees in mud, the filthy stuff dragging along his stomach at the slightest mis-step along the water-logged riverbank. "StarClan," He swore under his breath.
Though she didn't say so, Valleystorm agreed with Grousethorn. While she did not dislike the other clans, she didn't necessarily like them either. To her, they were just the other clans, and they were all needed in their own ways to keep everything in balance. Having only one clan in control of all of their territories, seemed like a rather strange idea.

"You obviously know which Clan I'm from, so at least I don't have to tell you I'm from MoonClan." Flamingshadow chuckled, turning to bury his mouse quickly before look back up at the large apprentice. If he was still just an apprentice, Fallenpaw would surely grow to be bigger than himself. He didn't mind that idea, trying not to notice how handsome Fallenpaw actually was. And he was one of Stormstar's kits...oh dear, what was he getting himself into? Flamingshadow could already feel his heart starting to pound harder, even though he tried to ignore it, but it was getting harder to push away the feelings rising up in him. He could feel the other tom's eyes on him, and looked up just in time to hear the question, thinking for a second before replying. "Honestly, I hadn't even realized I was so close to the border. I just wanted to find a peaceful place to be and thought hunting while I was at it was a good excuse to get out for a bit."
"We all do," Grousethorn answered Opalfur. "Even if we toss aside whatever personal feelings we have to them -and I'll be open about not being too fond of that clan, what with how it began- we need their help. If they get flooded out, we're all vulnerable to EclipseClan attack, and I wouldn't put it past them to strike when they know we're already hurting."
Valleystorm nodded in agreement with Opalfur, before stepping away from snake gorge. She looked up at the sky, feeling the rain fell on her face. Most of her fur was already soaked through with water, but she didn't mind. She happened to really like the rain.
Fallenpaw leaped off the tom gracefully, sitting down and curling his white-tipped tail around his paws. "I'm Fallenpaw, of EarthClan. My father is Stormstar." he introduced himself with a smile. "So, what's a MoonClan warrior doing out here alone? Besides hunting, obviously," his voice was curious more than anything as he looked over the strikingly colored tom. He always admired darker pelts, and the specks of orange contrasted nicely.

After catching the mouse, Flamingshadow had started to bury it, before a heavy weight landed on him, knocking him to the ground. He gasped softly, ears pricking up at the words, and he looked up, dark amber eyes focusing on the cat on top of him. He chuckled softly, shaking his head. He could smell the EathClan scent on him, and wasn't worried, as they had an alliance. "No, I didn't. That was a very well done attack, you caught me off guard." He purred softly, shaking his head a little more. "What's your name?"
Fallenpaw heard rustling in the foliage and quickly crouched down, pinpointing the location. It wasn't just prey foraging for food but a much larger animal - another cat. He stalked the MoonClanner, catching glimpses every now and then of the black and orange pelt ahead of him. It was a wonderful color for camouflage in the forest and Fallenpaw admired it. His own pelt blended with the shadows but his bright yellow eyes and stark white face would always give him away. He watched silently as the cat caught his prey and his tail lashed back and forth before he sprung up and pounced on the warrior. "Got ya, MoonClanner!" he exclaimed triumphantly with a gleam in his eye. Despite still being an apprentice, he inherited his father's large and toned body, which he always took advantage of. "You didn't even hear me coming." he chuckled, completely oblivious to the fact that he had no idea if the warrior would attack him or not.

Flamingshadow stalked through the undergrowth, pursuing a mouse that kept darting through the grass, also not aware of how close to the EarthClan border he was. He was so focused on hunting, his nose filled with prey-scent, that he didn't notice when the EarthClan apprentice slipped out of the water a few fox-lengths away from him, shaking the water from his fur. his movements were silent as the wind as he crept up on the unsuspecting creature, and before it had time to realize what was going on, he'd pounced and ended it's life with a quick nip to the back of it's neck.
Fallenpaw explored the heart of EarthClan territory, unaware that he was headed north to the MoonClan border. He was nearly a warrior now, and yet he hadn't seen most of the territory. New-leaf was in its peak now with prey practically running beneath his paws. He would bring something back for the clan once he was done exploring. He reached the great willow, looking up at the large tree with awe. It marked the border but there were no fresh scent markers here. Curiosity peaked as he looked over the river into MoonClan territory. They had an alliance so getting caught there wouldn't be a big deal. The dark tabby tom slipped into the river, shivering as it's icy waters chilled him to the bone. He paddled across with determination, had he been any younger he probably would've drowned in the rising waters. The river had overflowed and was much higher than usual but because he hadn't seen it before, he was oblivious to the danger that EarthClan was in. Once he hit the other side, Fallenpaw stopped to shake the water from his fur and smooth the fur on his head. The recent scent of a MoonClan cat reached him and he padded off towards it.
"It can't be that uncommon, at least for parts of their camp to go underwater. I guess they must have some sort of secondary camp they can travel to." Grousethorn shrugged. "It might go over the two-leg thunderpaths, though. That hasn't happened in my life, though I think Juniperspring said it happened when she was a kit. She'd know more."
Valleystorm padded up next to Grousethorn to get a good look down at Snake Gorge. She recalled their brief conversation about EarthClan earlier, and curiosity struck her."What will EarthClan do if their camp floods? Has that ever happened before?" She asked him, still staring down at the rushing water.
"Her names Ivywhisper. We grew up together." He smiled, recalling all of the memories from his kit-hood. He was starting to get worried because the tortoiseshell feline was showing signs of sickness. "She's the only family I've known." A bit of sadness flashed in his golden eyes, but it was gone in seconds. After that, they walked in silence until they reached the Great willow. The snow clung to the tree branches, the flakes sparkling as the sign hit them. "This is one of my favorite spots. Beautiful right?" He inquired. (sorry this post is so bad).
Clear, crisp blue skies watched as Cottontail padded along with the tom, relieved to finally be with him again. She knew they were both taking a risk seeing each other but it made her heart happy to know he was doing it because he wanted to see her. She blushed slightly as the tom brushed pelts with her, hardly watching where she was stepping. Soft snow as fluffy as the clouds blanketed the ground and her white pelt blended in creating the perfect camouflage. Her ears perked up at his voice.
"Really? What's her name?" she wondered. She didn't have many friends in MoonClan, especially since she avoided being in camp around Midnightstorm for too long. She hardly thought about loyalty to her clan now. Yet, the thought of switching clans hadn't crossed her mind. All she cared for now was to see Blacknose over and over again between her warrior duties. She smiled as they continued walking and she wondered how far into the territory she would be going this time. "No, but it sounds like something I would like to see!" she meowed excitedly. Frankly she didn't mind what they were doing, as long as she was with the tom, she felt special, and wanted.
He was satisfied with her answer and started along the border before heading deeper into the territory. He'd made sure to know exactly where the patrols were going today, having slipped away from one himself. "Ya know, you'd get along real well with my best friend. She's a lot like you." He started, brushing her side every now and again as they walked. He wasn't sure what he was imply with that. Part of him wished she lived in Earthclan. It would be a lot easier for him to see her and spend time with her. Funny, We've only met a couple times and I'm already infatuated.
Blacknose had his thoughts set on reaching the Great Willow, one of his favorites spots to go and relax. It also helped him to calm down if his clan-mates were being particularly annoying. "Have you ever crossed the border to see the Great Willow?" He inquired with a smile.
Caught off guard, Cottontail looked down to her paws nervously and smiling. She felt like she wasn't important to anyone, much less another cat from a different clan. She loved her clan but truth be told she didn't have any friends or family there. For a moment she wondered what life in EarthClan was like. Did they all think they were better than her? Based on the one warrior she knew, she hoped they weren't. She had broken rules before by coming, but what would they do to her if she actually left MoonClan? That was too risky, at least right now with the tension between all the clans. She looked to the tom's handsome face. "I would love to accompany you." She wouldn't mind exploring more of EarthClan's territory and was unaware that she would carry their scent back to camp with her. For a moment, she imagined hearing leaves rustling back in the direction of the border, but she was so caught up in spending time with a cat that actually wanted her, she dismissed it. She padded up to the tom's side and let her side touch his as she waited to begin their secretive border patrol.
Blacknose had never been the type of cat to follow the code closely. The rules he deemed extremely important were followed, of course, but the others pertaining to befriending outsiders as well as ignoring borders was one he didn't follow. He remembered when Ripplestream had first told him about the pregnancy. He'd been such a young and naive cat, asking the Moonclan she-cat if she'd come with him and join Earthclan. Blacknose respected her choice to stay with her home, knowing thag Moonclan wouldn't except his outside blood. He was startled from his thoughts by a flash of white, golden eyes focusing on Cottontail's face as she approached. A purr rumbled in his chest, shifting his body so he was sitting now. "You mentioned coming to visit and this is my usual hunting spot. Couldn't hurt to wait for a beautiful she-cat to keep me company while I check the border and hunt." He was letting his guard down, the last few meetings proving to him that he could trust her.
Cottontail had been itching to go see the striking tom from EarthClan ever since she made up her mind about Midnightstorm. The oblivious deputy clearly had an interest in rather weak apprentices opposed to an able bodied warrior such as herself. As she trotted through the territory, she wasn't the least bit concerned if anyone had followed her or if anyone would catch her. Midnightstorm was a push-over and she wasn't concerned with what the would do if he found out. Multiple colored leaves covered the earth beneath her paws and the days had cooled down, making it a comfortable journey to the border. She stopped and checked the markers. Old. She would remark them on her way back as an alternative story if she ran into anyone. The she-cat entered EarthClan's territory, their scent drifted heavily throughout the foliage. It was difficult to differentiate the scents of each cat but luckily just as she was trying to sort out the tom's, she came face to face with him. Part of her didn't expect him to be out here, especially that he seemed to already be waiting for her. "Hello," she greeted him, with her normal cheery tone. Her chest grew warm and fuzzy at the sight of the warrior. "I didn't think you'd be here." she admitted sheepishly as she sat down next to him.
He seemed to be drawn to this border more often nowadays. Not only to see his children, but he also came here in hopes of seeing a certain white she-cat. Blacknose told himself he'd never fall in love again. He couldn't figure out if what he was feeling for the Moonclanner was love or not, but he really liked her. The large feline sat by himself, gaze washing over his surroundings... kinda sorta waiting, but also just kinda relaxing.
He managed to gain his composure, a little surprised this Moonclanner was able to get under his fur so quickly. She didn't bother him, on the contrary, he found himself enjoying her presence. He couldn't remember the last time he'd actually stopped to just relax and have fun. Possibly back when Blacknose had been a brand new apprentice, wide eyed and full of hope.
At her words, he felt a bit disappointed. He wanted to get to know her more (and possibly see if she knew his kits). Not that he'd tell her that yet.
"I don't mind, I just want to make sure you don't get into trouble." His pale yellow eyes focused on the direction of the Moonclan border. They'd traveled a bit far away and who knows when the border patrol would come along.
"Let me walk you back." Even if she said no, he'd still make sure that Cottontail got back safely.
The she-cat relaxed and let the tom flip her over, and she lay underneath him, smiling up at him. "Thanks." she meowed sheepishly as she stood up. It was probably time to head back to camp; though she wished she could lounge here awhile longer. She probably reeked of EarthClan now and needed time to go cover the scent up. Cottontail looked to the tom. "I should probably head back before anyone misses me." It wasn't like she was important, in fact most of the clan didn't really care, but she knew Midnightstorm would be curious to know where she had gone. "Would you mind if I came to see you again?" she asked sweetly, looking at the unique black marking over the tom's nose. Her own markings were softer compared to the contrast between his stark white and black patches. It made him handsome, and interesting to her. She could imagine all manner of black and white kits from him and smiled sheepishly at the thought. He would never want her; an overactive she-cat from another clan. Never hurt to dream though.
Blacknose heard the sharp movement, his head snapped in the direction of the sound only to see a flash of white before he was tumbling backward. The power in her tackle caught him off guard, sending him flat on his back. He golden eyes focused on the she-cat’s smiling face, warmth spreading through out his chest.
She’s a very attractive feline. Surprise flashed across his face when her nose touched his, lost for words for
a moment. All he could do was stare at her.
After what felt like eternity, he was able to draw his eyes away and retaliate. He pushed upward and rolled them over so that he was on top.
“Smart move, I’ll give it to you.” An easy grin spread across his face, moving off of her and helping her to stand if needed. He licked a singular paw and drew it over his ear, trying to cover up his embarrassment.
The ground beneath her paws was cool and soft, allowing for claws to dig deeply into the soil for a good grip. The leaves of the forest rustled in the breeze as the white she-cat lay in wait. Luckily she didn't need to wait long as the footsteps of the tom reached her ears, and she lowered herself to the ground, peeking around the foliage with her bi-colored eyes. This time, she was more cautious and patient, waiting for the tom to get into range.
She lept out of her hiding spot, pouncing on him and they both fell over, tumbling over one another. She giggled in excitement as she swiped at his ears and nibbled at his paws in play. It was relieving, to just play as she did as a kit back in the two-leg home with her brothers and sisters. She had no-one here, to comfort her or just be a friend. Cottontail was completely relaxed and felt no pressure with Blacknose, and as she was wrestling him she purposely let her delicate pink nose touch with his for a brief moment, just to see what would come with it. "Got you." she meowed softly just loud enough for only him to hear. If anything, she was daring and enjoyed pushing all the boundaries she could. What would life be if she never had fun?
It was true that Earthclan was more understanding that the rest of the clans. His proof would be his affair with a Moonclanner, but yet they still allowed him to stay. His golden eyes examined the she-cat pinned beneath him. She may seem like a bouncy and energetic feline on the outside, but he knew better. His son was the same way. Showing only what he thought others wanted to see. Blacknose would not press Cottontail for answers, but being the cat he was, Blacknose would not rest easy knowing she might be upset.
Of course my sympathies go out to outsiders. He really did try to ignore it, but he despised seeing others upset, especially if they were a nice cat.
He stepped back, witnessing the thought process of the she-cat before him. He had to admit, she was an interesting individual. Smart too. Her movements weren't random, that he knew, but she did make some mistakes. She was able to disappear from his vision, but her scent still lingered.
The large tom-cat followed her scent, ears perked upward. She may have the advantage of hiding, but he was an exceptional tracker. It's part of the reason he got his warrior name. It helped that the fur around his nose was covered in black fur. Two for one. He chuckled to himself, losing sight of the mission at hand.
The white she cat flew through the territory, having no idea where she was going or where she was. She didn't give it a second thought. This chase was exhilarating and something she needed for awhile now. Clan life wasn't terrible, it was just good to get out of it for awhile. Apprentices acting like warriors, thinking they know better than the actual warriors, warriors and apprentices having crushes on each other, it all bothered her. The cats seemed to be getting more and more independent and bossy everyday. How were they supposed to work together, she wasn't sure.
Out of nowhere, she was tackled, hitting the ground at full speed. The larger tom had pinned her down as she let her guard down and her mind wander. She batted at his ears playfully; claws sheathed. It felt odd, playing around with another clan's cat, but this was more exciting than talking to any of her clan-mates. Was this how EarthClanner's were?
Cottontail smiled mischievously, "You do have an advantage." she admitted as she squirmed out from under him and prepared to dash off again. However this time, she tried to fake him out by running and hiding behind a tree so she could get the upper hand on the tom.
Blacknose nodded, memories of his first meeting with Ripplestream flashing in his head. He missed the she-cat dearly and found himself repeating the same thing he'd done ages ago. Going behind his clan's back and talking to an outsider. He didn't care much for the rules, as long as the cat hadn't done anything to him or harmed his clan, it was fine. She seemed a bit off and he didn't appreciate the fact that she was hiding something, but he barely knew her so it was only fair.
He was caught of guard, golden eyes watching her dash off into the territory. He was a bit concerned that someone from Earthclan would find her, but he threw his inhibitions out and chased after her. If she thought he didn't know how to have fine, he'd show her otherwise. He flew across the forest floor, large paws thudding against the ground. Blacknose did his best to make as much nose as possible as he followed her, until suddenly he stopped running and hide somewhere. He knew the territory like the back of his paw.
He settled down, waiting for Cottontail to pass by. He propelled himself forward tackling the she-cat to the ground and pinning her. He couldn't remember the last time he truly had fun. A smirk appeared on his face as he stared down at her.
"Wanna try again, maybe this time you'll manage to get away."
Cottontail stood and began to walk with the tom. It was odd, she knew in her mind it wasn't right but there was nobody around to see or tell her not to so she went along with it. The tom seemed a little.. strict, but she didn't want to offend him and get into a skirmish. "Yes, of course. I'll remember that." she agreed quickly. They walked along the border and she listened as he talked. He talked quite a bit for a warrior who seemed uptight. She began to wonder if he ever had fun in his life and she decided to test out her theory. She didn't want to sit around talking about her irrelevant problems forever. Cottontail leaned in and gave him a playful nip, then darted off deeper into EarthClan territory, hopping over logs and dodging trees. This is what she wanted, to just run and feel the rush of the wind against her fur.
The breeze tickled his Black nose, irritating it enough to draw a sneeze out of him. He shook his head slightly, trying to rid himself of the feeling. He hated sneezing, he also despised when he felt a sneeze coming, but could not for whatever reason, sneeze. His golden gaze scanned their surroundings, searching for anything out of the order while his ears were tilted toward the Moonclanner before him.
"Not thinking could get you injured or killed." It was harsh, but it was a reflexive response. It's what he told new apprentices who didn't listen to directions. "You shouldn't be thanking me for that. It's common courtesy to refrain oneself from attacking when your opponent isn't ready." He lost himself in the lesson, almost forgetting who he was with.
"I apologize, I've been speaking to you as if you were my apprentice." Blacknose smiled, teeth glinting in the moon light. He listened to her poor excuse, tilting his head at her in amusement.
She thinks I'd believe that mouse-dung lie. "I'm not going to force you into telling me what's really on your mind, but frankly, telling it to someone who you probably won't see ever again might help you de-stress." With little effort, the warrior pushed himself to his feet and started to walk along the Moonclan-Earthclan border. He was slow and deliberate with his movements, tail flicking as a sign she should follow. "Taking a stroll might also help."
Truthfully, Cottontail hadn't even thought about running into anyone. She looked the tom over. Like her, he was white, but had a unique patch of black on his face. He was interesting, and she liked that about him since she was a little out of place with her bobbed tail.
"I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking." she felt like an apprentice again, apologizing for doing silly things. What kind of warrior did this make her? A pretty bad one it seemed. Her ears grew hot with embarrassment. The she-cat sighed in relief at the tom's reply and sat down.
"Uh, thanks then, for not attacking me." she said more calmly in her sweet tone of voice. "My name is Cottontail." she greeted the tom. Her drama was hardly worth talking about with another clan's warrior, and a handsome tom as he was. She looked down to her paws before coming up with a cover.
"I just wanted to run a bit. Camp can get a little crazy sometimes." she tried sounding cheerful, hopefully even funny. This was a stranger though, and she didn't know how much trouble she would get into talking to him. Although she should've turned around and went home, she decided to stay. It would be nice to talk to someone that wasn't her clan-mate. Someone different, new, and exciting.
Blacknose met her gaze, taking note of the different colors. /Fascinating./ he liked the way the colors clashed, but also seemed to pop due to the feline's Snow White pelt. She was small, a very anxious and jumpy cat.
"You must have known you'd run into someone. It's not very appropriate to go trespassing where you don't belong. Especially because you don't know who you'll run into." He watched her muscles tense, even under such a fluffy coat. He couldn't understand why she'd choose to cross the border if she was so afraid of running into someone.
He licked a paw, drawing it down over his face and black nose. He'd be lying if he said he hadn't been hoping for Hiddenpaw to be here. He was worried for his kits, especially Fadepaw. /So much like her mother./ his daughter despised him though.
"I mean you no harm. I'm just worried a clan mate of mine will walk by and assume the worst. You're lucky, I'm more understanding than most." To be fair, Earthclan had an open camp policy. He'd grown up with an easy going attitude. Blacknose decided engaging in conversation wouldn't hurt. "I'm Blacknose. I assume something is wrong if you're seeking alone time across borders."
Cottontail nearly ran into a tree at the sound of a deep voice right behind her. She half jumped, half turned around on the stranger and she met his gaze. Her bi-colored eyes wide with terror, she began backing up. "Sorry, I didn't think anyone would be here!" she remained standing, ready to turn tail at a moment's notice. If she had a tail, it would be twitching with anxiety. She was small compared to the tom and she knew she wouldn't stand a chance against him if he were to attack. "I was just wanting to be alone, I promise I wasn't here to hurt anyone." she tried explaining herself in a shaky voice.
A large, well-muscled Tom-cat padded slowly through the forest. His mouth was open, scenting the air for prey or intruders. He knew he was close to the Moonclan border. He'd heard from his son that Ripplestream had died in battle. She'd been the closest thing he had felt to love and to hear that she was gone, he distressed the Tom-cat. He knew how hard it must have been for his kits to deal with the death of their mother. He growled softly, upset with himself for not putting in more effort to see the she-cat. The scent of Moonclan slapped him in the face, golden eyes jerk toward the border. A flash of white crosses his visions. Stormpaw is injured and Tidepaw would never travel here.
The large feline crouched low, creeping up on the newcomer. He gazed the newcomer, examining her appearance. Blacknose approached downwind of the she-cat.
"You're trespassing." He mewed, a deep rumble in his chest. He sat back on his haunches, watching the intruder warily.
Cottontail left camp, running through the territory as far as she could go. The small white she-cat looked like a rabbit hopping through the landscape; an easy target for an enemy patrol or predator. Today she was lucky and encountered neither. She reached the border of EarthClan and MoonClan, stopping for a moment to sniff. Nobody had been here in awhile so she looked around to double check to make sure it was clear. She didn't care that much about borders and was confident even if she ran into someone, they wouldn't hurt her. It was more a flaw than anything and she has yet to learn from it. She took several paw-steps into EarthClan's territory and peered into the unknown. Maybe she could make a friend, who wouldn't go behind her back with the tom she liked.
Opalfur nodded in silent agreement, stifling a hiss at the mud clinging to her legs and chilling her to the bone.
Opalfur nodded, her fur bristling slightly at the mention of EclipseClan. She did not particularly like them very well.
Opalfur stared down at Snake Gorge, her eyes wide. "I pray that if it floods, EarthClan are safe." She meowed softly.
Grousethorn stared down into the roiling water at Snake Gorge as his patrol neared it.
"StarClan," He cursed under his breath and slowly backed up. "It really has been wet. I'm surprised the river hasn't jumped its banks already."
