I’d like to thank everyone again who filled out May’s member survey, the results have been invaluable in helping me determine which features members find most helpful and what around the roleplay needs to be improved. A whole bunch of changes and additions are in store based on member responses!
Firstly, a handful of small changes have been made. A hyperlink to the update log was added to the Character Updates Page, the Information Page has been reorganized and the Helpful Links section has been expanded, the forums were reorganized, and the rule regarding grammar and roleplaying formatting was split into two separate rules for the sake of clarity.
The mentor-apprentice lists (found on the Information Page) will be updated more regularly. Leaders, please remember to assign mentors to mentor-less apprentices with each batch of ceremonies you post.
Also, thank you to everyone who filled out the name change survey, I hadn’t realized how much demand there was for a change in the current system. Starting today, names that have not been in use for over a year and are not listed on the history page may be reused.
For our second big change, the adoption system is being extended to include character transfers directly from one roleplayer to another. When two members have discussed transferring a character, the character’s current owner will post “___ of ___Clan is being transferred to [new owner]” to the Character Updates Page and the new owner will confirm the transfer by posting “I am claiming ___ of ___Clan”. Adoption rules will apply, so leaders and deputies cannot be transferred. As well, a character’s original owner may reclaim a character at any time before they are claimed by their new owner. After a character is claimed by its new owner, the original owner cannot reclaim them unless the new owner agrees to return the character.
Lastly, maps and reference pictures of all landmarks (drawn by Spicy and me) will be added to the Information Page. These will be published in waves, beginning tonight with Spicy’s map of SunClan’s Camp.
Of course, if you have any criticisms or suggestions, you don’t have to wait for another survey to be published to speak up. I love hearing members’ opinions on how the website can be improved, so message me whenever!
