Yep, this site has been around for four years as of today! Please excuse the lame intro, I've been staring at an empty type-into-box for several minutes, trying to make this not sound like a cheesy celebrity "Thank you to the fans, without you this would be impossible!" speech. I would say "Happy birthday, www.warriorcatsoftheforests.webs.com!" but it would imply a certain level of humanity to the site that I will not grant in fear that it will become more sentient than he already is.
Its been a great 4 years and I do have to thank you guys for being the flat out awesome people you are, without you this site would have crashed and burned. 4 years ago Silverwing and I sat down and made the site, at the time we thought it would be around for a little until we got bored and moved on with our lives, as people that age are prone to expect. As you can see this was not at all the case, she grew too busy to keep up with it after a year and I took over the site. Just under a year after that Dawnstar and Ambermist joined just as the site was turning to crashinga nd burning, after them came Swiftstar and Mosspath. The 5 of us carried the site through the end of The War of Bone Clan and The Great War (Aka. The war of the city or Hawk's War). After Fallenstar died the site began to flounder again, it was just Amberstar Dawnstar and I! We were all role playing on a differant site and this one lay almost completely forgotten, then BANG! In the last 2-3 weeks of the summer several people joined and the fire was reignited! The website is going strong as ever and I must thank you all for staying with the insanity and fun that is this website. I am almost done with a video for the site that I was making to celebrate this accomplishment that I never thought we would achieve, but because I am terrible at deadlines and planning it will probably be posted sometime over the weekend (Edit: I did finish it, it can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e04LpsXs9NE)
Before you get bored of my rambing when I said I would thakn you all I was not lieing: (this is arranged by join date, not by how much I like you. I love you all.)
Silverwing: You were the one who's idea it was to make this site, I can't thank you enough for forcing me to read warriors and thus this whole thing is entirely your fault.
Shadowfang: You are easily one of the best writers we have had on here, don't give up on your talent! And I hate to say it but...ANIMATION!
Snowpath: You were the first person to join and stay that didn't have a social obligation to do so and I can't thank you enough for how much help you gave us getting the website on it's feet, without you the entire story line would have fizzled off and died.
Dawnstar: You are the energy of the site, woman. You keep it from getting too morbid, always quick with a joke and a lighthearted prank you keep us from getting too depressing and are truely the life of the story.
Ambermist: I can not say thank you enough, you have been a great help with everything from plot to characters to modivation, do not underestimate your writeing and artistic talent!
Mosspath: You always reminded us when we were getting too serious, sometimes you do just need to sleep through a battle or be the size of a mouse!
Swiftfire: You started so many ongoing gags on this site, you have made me cry from laughing so hard on several occasions. I can not thank you enough for breaking the tension between members and reminding us that we shouldn't take everything so seriously all the time.
Sunsetkit: I can not believe your dedication, you have been all in from day one! *applauses* You are one of the most truely nice people I have ever met and are always welcomeing to new members. You were also one of the people to drag us out of the dark hole were we spiraling into, a savior of this website.
Adderpaw: You keep the storyline from getting stale, thank you for bringing in creative and diverse characters. You arn't afraid to dive headfirst into the story line and just have fun with what you are doing!
Sunleaf: Thank you for not being afraid to ask questions and request high ranking positions, your inquisitive and ambitious nature was much needed.
Swiftfeather and Mintkit: I hope to get to know you much better, I am thankful you joined the site and have been staying active and look forward to spending more time role playing with you.
