Update: The original date provided for the conversion (October 10th) was not accurate. I spoke to Webs today (October 11th) and was told they do not know which wave of conversion this website belongs to. Unfortunately, this means we will not have any warning for when the conversion will happen.
Hey guys, it looks like Webs will be going ahead with the migration to Site Builder 3. This website is scheduled to be converted on the 10th, but Webs has assured me that the live website won’t be changed until I publish the new, converted version.
I’ll begin the conversion on the evening of Thursday the 13th, starting first on making the website functional and then fixing its more superficial aspects. The forums will remain open throughout the conversion, so everyone can keep roleplaying and using the site as they normally would. However, the pages may be disorganized for a few hours and features may be shifting around over the next few days as I figure out what works best for the flow of the new website. I’ve backed up all of the pages, so even if something does go wrong in the conversion process, there’s no need to save your characters.
I know some members were concerned about the loss of the shoutboxes and, considering how difficult the website may be to navigate those first few days, I’ve decided to go ahead and use a third party chatbox. If any of you have had good experiences with chatbox hosts, please message me.
I’m going to prioritize getting this website on its feet over the routine updates, so the Friday updates may end up being as much as few days later than usual.
If you have any questions about the conversion, please message me or comment on Webs’ conversion help thread.
